Advice for traveling by boat (Ferry):
- Buy tickets at least three days in advance.
- Arrive 1 hour in advance to the pier.
- Take a pill for motion sickness 30 minutes before starting the boat trip.
- The maximum weight you can carry is 23 kg.
- If you carry extra luggage there is a $10 charge.
- Close your travel bags well; water can enter the luggage.
- Always carry your personal documents, vaccination card, and PCR tests with you.
- Order breakfast at the hotel so that it can be served when you arrive at your destination.
- If you travel to Isabela Island you should know that there are no ATMs there; bring cash.
- Isabela Island is the only island that charges $10 upon entry.
- There are no direct boats from San Cristobal Island to Isabela Island; you must make a mandatory
stop on Santa Cruz
Island.
